How will you contribute?

The selected applicant will be part of LIST’s newly created Technology Transfer Office (TTO). which aims at helping to build bridges between LIST's science, research and technology development and industry, as well as society at large. Within the TTO, she/he will integrate LIST Ventures entity that has the mission to support the creation of spin-off/startup companies and assist researchers in the start-up phase and the stages of transforming a business idea into a real company. 

LIST is looking for a Marketing advisor to operate within our LIST Ventures entity for promoting and publicizing our spin-off/start-up’s innovative products and services. In this role, the selected applicant will develop strategies and marketing programs to foster brand awareness, strengthen our start-up’s reputation, promote their technologies, and dramatically increase business opportunities and sales from the start-up’s early stages. 

 You will be mainly in charge of: 

  • Position the start-up on the market, implement relevant marketing strategies and use adapted tools to do so (such as targeted campaigns, social media, web marketing, predictive analytics, and other market research)
  • Promote successful Research & Development projects/technologies.
  • Achieve the right market positioning for our spin-offs in terms of branding, online presence, etc.
  • Produce content about the start-up and all the material that will support its promotion and selling strategy (website, brochures, photo & videos, sales presentations, etc…)
  • Develop and implement marketing plans (paid + unpaid media) to increase awareness, get leads, and drive revenue
  • Assess and monitor the efficiency of the marketing projects and campaigns
  • Coordinate events that promote our start-ups and their technologies (like trade shows, presentations, workshop’s, ad-hoc events, …).
  • Work with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs
  • Position “LIST ventures” as a Deep Tech Venture Builder in Europe

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as marketing, business, or advertising

Experience and skills

  • At least a first relevant experience as a marketing specialist
  • Previous position in a tech startups or technology related business (working in an incubator/start-up environment for example)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Master Outbound and Inbound marketing strategies
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as, Google Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, Zoho suite, Odoo, etc.), and content management systems (CMS)
  • Master Adobe suite or similar (Lightroom, Premiere, etc.)
  • Experience in website design using website builders such as Zoho Sites, Odoo, etc.
  • Experience with content marketing, SEO and paid advertising (PPC)
  • At ease in using Social Networks for business purposes and related tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.
  • Excellent analytical skills and a knack for data analysis (A/B Tests, Landing pages, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail
  • Experience in logo/brand design will be positively evaluated
  • Proficient in English as business language
