Responsibilities

KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB


Comprehensive risk management, supporting the enhancement of the Banks risk & control framework, encompassing risk identification and assessment as well as defining risk mitigation measures and risk steering & reporting



DELIVRABLES AND KEY ACTIVITIES (descending order, maximum 10)


  • Advising the front units as partner in managing non-financial risks and implementing Regulatory and Compliance requirements
  • Management reporting and preparation of supporting material for the Banks management’s decision-making and coordinate all ICC related topics
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with inhouse partners as well as second and third Line of Defense
  • Amendments proposition when required and pro-activeness in proposing new controls in order to mitigate “first line” risks
  • Interact with group specialists, second line of defense functions (Operational Risk, Compliance, Legal) and auditors (internal & external) related to specific controls;
  • Support the maintenance of the supervisory oversight framework including the supervisory controls framework and supervisory tasks (e.g. Access management)
  • Launch specific risk/compliance campaigns in collaboration with frontline managers and support units with training and education
  • Participation in regulatory and/or strategic change initiatives, including risk assessment and high-quality advice to ensure business suitable and compliant implementation
  • Proactively monitor and ensure that all open action points, including action plans resulting from audits (internal/external/regulatory) and reviews, are implemented and satisfactorily resolved within the set deadlines
  • Propose and participate to front trainings concerning key risk areas (e.g. how the risk should be managed from an operational and managerial perspectives)
  • Ensure that the First line of defense has all the required tools at their disposal (e.g. reports, data, etc.) to monitor, manage and mitigate risk in different areas.

  • Risk, Audit, Banking/Finance


Education (required level)

  • Master I or II


Languages

  • English (mandatory)
  • French, German or Luxemburgish is an asset


Banking techniques

  • N/A

  • BLS/ BLSnet
  • Excel/Access VBA
  • Knowledge in SQL

 

More required knowledge

  • have good knowledge of banking (product &/or segments) &non-financial and regulatory risks
  • knowledge of Financial Reporting, Credit Risk, and/or Compliance Risks– FEC, FATCA, CRS, MIFID- requirements
  • Good understanding of key bank procedures and related processes
  • Risk based approach


Experience (type + number of years)

  • 4 to 6 years in Banking Risk, Compliance or Audit positions, as well at Front office level
