Responsibilities

Missions

 

  • Support the Head of Corporate Compliance and Entities Oversight in new Compliance related projects and new requirements to implement within the Compliance department
  • Support the Corporate Compliance and Entities Oversight team in the following tasks:
  • Manage compliance and risk assessments as well as Compliance Monitoring Program
  • Control and contribute to further strengthening and developing new processes on oversight of BIL Group entities in line with the CSSF and ECB expectations
  • Ensure collaboration with BIL Group’s compliance officers and 1st line of defense functions including a risk-based approach
  • Review and analyse the Key Performance Indicators & Key Risk Indicators of the Group
  • Support in the interactions with the regulator, maintaining an open and positive working relationship and ensure high quality in any correspondence.
  • Promote compliance awareness and training across the business and the Group

 

Main activities

 

  • Support the team in the implementation of new requirements related to Compliance stemming from Compliance assessment, new regulations or internal and external audit recommendations
  • Perform controls in designated compliance domains (cross border, MiFID, regulatory compliance, etc.) and formalize results and action plans
  • Support the development and further implementation of the compliance monitoring programs within the Group
  • Support in the provision of Compliance advise to other departments and entities of the Group
  • Draft and review of policies, procedures and reports
  • Liaising with internal and/or external parties on compliance matters
  • Prepare or support in the preparation of material for internal control committees or other types of stakeholders

Your profile


  • University degree or equivalent in Law, Finance or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of experience working in Compliance for a Bank or in a consulting or Audit firm
  • Good understanding of the private banking and fund industry
  • High level knowledge of key Luxembourg and EU rules and regulations related to Investor Protection and market integrity (e.g. MiFID, Cross border, Market Abuse, etc.). Knowledge of governance and AML/CFT rules being an asset
  • Organised, flexible, autonomous, committed, reliable, able to execute several tasks, and focused on delivering quality
  • Full proficiency in written and spoken English. (French required for verbal communication)
  • Experienced in communicating with stakeholders across multiple business units at all levels
  • Good analytical and technical skills
  • Good skills in structuring and delivering key messages
  • Open-minded and eager to learn
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
  • Integrity and discretion
