Responsibilities

Lead the planning teams so that Sales-Lentz can provide quality services to our customers by making the most efficient use of all our assets and resources and position Sales-Lentz as the reference partner for mobility solutions.  


As our Director Transport and Mobility Planning, you will:

 

  • Lead and manage the mobility planning and disposition bus & vans teams
  • Establish clear understanding of customer expectations and requirements. Transpose these requirements in state-of-the art mobility planning and driver programs
  • Ensure legal compliance to all national and EU regulations of passenger road transport
  • Be results-driven. Manage our resources (650 vehicles - buses, mini-buses, vans, coaches – 1.100 drivers, 15 depots) to get the best ROI 
  • Set goals and manage your teams to achieve measurable objectives
  • Master the challenges of transport planning in the transition to net zero carbon outcomes
  • Use your experience and data driven approach in close cooperation with the technical, sales and operations directors
  • Be an inspiring leader when it comes to coaching and motivating your teams
  • Cooperate proactively and develop professional partnership with planning departments of the administration of public passenger transport (ATP MMTP), city mobility managers / transport coordinators, EU institutions and companies
  • Public tenders for passenger transport: lead and manage processes to obtain key indicators for the calculation of economic offers handled by the commercial department
  • Be creative and lead planning development projects for future innovative solutions of on-demand transport and autonomous shuttles
  • Always provide customer-oriented services
  • Participate with IT development team to continue development of reporting planning and OPS key performance indicators.



Must-have requirements

Your market insight, collaborative approach and creative instincts will be some of your strengths.

 

Most importantly, you will have the ambition and passion to grow our team, deliver and build upon the existing projects within our portfolio and identify new opportunities.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Transport Planning, Production and Operations Management or related field
  • 5 years experience (B2B) in a similar position in transport
  • Have excellent technical knowledge in strategic planning, transport and mobility planning
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Highly motivated to over-achieving against set targets, team player
  • Proven results of delivering planning solutions and meeting company goals
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Great adaptability and flexibility to changes in a fast-growing organization
  • Communication skills, in at least one of the 4 languages: Luxemburgish, French, German and English.
