How will you contribute?
To improve security and increase material sustainability, it is of high interest to extend the performance of existing materials. In this frame, the PhD research will focus on the development and investigation of a new high-performance thermoplastic-based material, with a design inspired from nacre, targeting high impact resistance. The challenges to address will include the selection of an appropriate design relying on the blending with a second polymer, the optimal dispersion of fillers, and the management of the resulting interfaces.
