Luxinnovation’s Business Relationship Management department offers its expertise and personalised support to companies of all sizes and in all sectors to support their innovation endeavours.

 

Among its activities, Luxinnovation has engaged in two InterReg projects:

  • W.A.V.E. – a project funded under the InterReg Greater Region programme, aims to increase the share of regional wood in processing and its usage in the construction industry, develop cross-border strategies, and facilitate exchanges between companies and key stakeholders. This project aims to establish a connection between sustainable resource use and an innovative economy.
  • GREATER GREEN+ – develops and offers information and consulting services as a meta-cluster for the environmental technology field in the Greater Region. The main aim is to create entries to neighbouring markets.

 

To reinforce the team and to support the management of these projects, Luxinnovation is looking for a Project Engineer.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


General activities

  • Conduct market research on different topics (social and sustainable construction, biobased materials, funding programmes for sustainable projects, etc.).
  • Execute market analysis and evaluations, especially in the context of sustainable construction and digitalisation.
  • Carry out project management tasks focused on pilot projects coordination with external consultants (modular construction, permit management, material research study), using common text and excel programmes.
  • Prepare various types of documentation, such as calculation sheets based on benchmark analysis, etc.
  • Create specifications for tenders to conduct different studies.
  • Document and report results.

 

Specific activities

  • Provide technical and economic recommendations for innovative applications in the woodworking and processing industry, including sustainable construction and materials.
  • Develop a ‘composite building materials’ stakeholder database and carry out stakeholder surveys.
  • Support the development of a digital transaction and trading platform for raw and construction wood components as well as industry-specific services.
  • Manage market surveys to assess the digital maturity of companies.
  • Support the creation of a guideline for innovative construction in Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
  • Develop and assist in setting up a communication structure backed by data for the Innovation Hub
  • Support in preparing a feasibility study for an interregional wood fund. 

 

Organisational support

  • Organise interregional working sessions, discussion rounds, and networking events.
  • Prepare project presentations, documentation and reports.
  • Coordinate with partners for meetings.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • At least Bac +4 with a technical or civil engineering background (generalist).
  • 5-10 years of experience in technical engineering and methodical work
  • High interest in innovation and sustainability, and enthusiastic about serving companies.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work on projects in various fields (wood, plastic, water management, waste management….).
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Fast learner with the ability and willingness to acquire knowledge on a variety of projects.
  • Service-oriented with a formidable team spirit.
  • Organised, proactive, flexible, and autonomous.
  • Fluency in English, German and French. Luxembourgish is considered as an asset.
