The European Space Resources Innovation Centre (ESRIC) is a joint initiative of the Luxembourg Space Agency (LSA), the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).

ESRIC aims to become an internationally recognized centre of expertise for scientific, technical, business and economic aspects related to the use of space resources for human and robotic exploration, as well as for a future in-space economy.

ESRIC exists in a rapidly changing international environment. Being part of this new adventure and contributing to build successful activities with ESRIC’s partners is common to all of ESRIC’s team.

ESRIC is implemented as a department of LIST, with a dedicated governance structure that includes its partners LSA, ESA and LIST. It is conducting activities along three main areas: Research and testing facilities, Business support and incubation, and Community management.

The primary objective of ESRIC is to research, develop and improve the understanding and performance of processes enabling the utilization of space resources with an initial focus on the Moon. 


What you will be doing?


You will oversee the organisation of ESRIC’s community management activities. You will contribute to the internal and external communication of ESRIC, in close interaction with the communication departments of LSA, ESA and LIST.

Hence, the following tasks will be part of your day-to-day work:

  • Organise and execute the implementation of stakeholder community building and engagement actions (for example events and workshops);
  • Organise the annual Space Resources Week event, working with partners, sponsors and the programme committee
  • Manage the internal and external communication of ESRIC and coordinate the communication with ESRIC’s partners (LIST, ESA, LSA);
  • Build and sustain ESRIC’s brand and reputation and increase its visibility;
  • Design and develop content production, including for ESRIC’s incubator programme (print, web and video production);
  • Maintain ESRIC’s website and manage its social media accounts;
  • Manage key issues related to media relations;
  • Create presentations.


Which profile we are looking for?


• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications;

• 5 to 10 years of experience ideally in the field of innovation, technology or research;

• Be autonomous, organised, flexible, resourceful and able to handle complex topics/to work with multiple partners;

• You have strong editorial skills, having proven experience in drafting and creating content for different purposes, attractive to multiple addressees in different formats; traditional media and social media as well as other web based communication channels 

• Excellent problem-solving, organisational and communication skills;

• Able to respect deadlines 

• Respect the need to be discrete and confidential when handling sensitive files;

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);

• Excellent command of English is a must, good knowledge of German and French is an asset.
