How will you contribute?
This internship provides an opportunity to get experienced in recombinant protein production in a bacterial host and enzymatic assays related to lignocellulose deconstruction. The trainee will focus on cloning, protein expression, protein purification and activity testing of carbohydrate-active enzymes, contributing to the team’s work on characterizing enzymes that act on polysaccharides
You will be mainly in charge of:
· Cloning carbohydrate active enzyme coding genes in bacterial host
· Managing the production of the recombinant proteins
· Purification of the recombinant proteins
· Carry out enzymatic tests to characterize the activity of recombinant proteins

Education
· Master’s student with a background in molecular biology or biochemistry for a 6-month internship.
Experience and skills
· Understanding of molecular biology tools and approaches
· Knowledge of laboratory good practices
Language skills
· Good level both written and spoken English and French
