Located in Luxembourg, we are a service company that hosts Europe's single leading trading platform(e-CAT) for cross-border transmission capacity. On behalf of TSOs, we auction the available long and short-term transmission capacity rights on all internal EU borders.
On the 1st of October 2018, JAO became the Single Allocation Platform (SAP) for all European Transmission System Operators (TSOs) that operate in accordance with EU legislation, since it is able to implement and fulfill all regulatory obligations and requirements. We provide accounting (clearing and settlement), contracting, reporting and project support services.
About the job:
We are seeking for a Communication Officer.
The Communication Officer is part of the Corporate department of the Company.
This function will play a crucial part in shaping and executing impactful communication strategies to enhance our organizational presence and connectivity.
Key responsibilities in the position
- Develop and execute communication strategies for the organization (e.g. internal, corporate) including leading the implementation across internal teams.
- Develop and implement communication plans in line with the communication strategy, various corporate initiatives and strategic objectives.
- Plan, draft, edit and deliver communications, key messages for different channels and audience with general direction from manager.
- Collaborate with the management and internal teams on a regular basis to ensure awareness of needs and alignment on key messaging and organization-wide communication activities.
- Provide advice, guidance and training to staff at all levels in communication activities and proactively identify opportunities to share successes.
- Manage social media account, ensuring posts are relevant, timely, engaging and targeted to the needs and interests of key audience.
- Support the management to respond to media inquiries.
- Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos
- Create and/or coordinate the organization’s identity and branding.
- Creating and producing graphic designs that support key messages and communication effectiveness.
- Develop communication protocols in the event of crises, and support with communications should they arise.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities and improve outcome when necessary.
We are looking for someone with the following set of skills and experience
- Studies in communications or marketing.
- Experience in planning and implementing communication strategies and plans in a similar function is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience with accessible graphic design.
- Experience in managing an organization website is an advantage.
- Competent to perform work with accuracy, speed and little supervision.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as understand and adapt to teams dynamics when necessary.
- Proficient in organizational and external business related communication.
- Proficient in different communication techniques such as key messaging, story telling.
- Understanding of visual and graphic design principles for web and print.
- Receptive to technological developments and willingness to learn.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Understanding and knowledge of overall company's business processes and their dependencies.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic with a can-do attitude.
- Positive, proactive, creative, strategic thinking and ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Customer centric thinking.
Additional Requirement:
According to the Luxembourg law of July 23rd 2016 (as amended), the successful applicant will be required to provide a Criminal Record before signing the employment contract.
