Since 2016, we have expanded our team to include developers and a design team based in Porto.

To support our product team, we are seeking a QA Engineer eager to enhance their skills.

We provide comprehensive training and the necessary tools to set you up for success! Based in our Porto office, you will collaborate closely with the product team to implement and refine a unified quality assurance strategy that ensures product reliability and improves testing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for functional, regression, and smoke testing. Build and optimize test automation frameworks that are scalable and maintainable. Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure seamless and continuous testing.
• Test Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with peers, developers, product managers, and stakeholders to define the testing strategy, requirements, and acceptance criteria. Identify areas of the product that require test automation and help prioritize them based on product risk and importance.
• Test Execution and Reporting: Run automated tests regularly as part of the CI/CD pipeline and investigate failures promptly. Track, log, and manage defects using tools like JIRA or similar issue-tracking systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve the test automation process, identifying opportunities for tool upgrades, framework enhancements, and process streamlining.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with QA peers, development teams to ensure proper understanding and implementation of test requirements, and to ensure quality standards are met.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Continuous Improvement: Keep up with the latest testing trends, technologies, and best practices, and apply them to improve the team’s testing practices.
• Test Execution and Reporting: Perform manual exploratory testing and provide feedback on new features, usability, and edge cases not covered by automation.
• Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to provide insights into test progress and areas for improvement.

Must-Have Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in QA, with a focus on test automation.
• Proficiency in automation tools
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript)
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Zephyr)
• Highly detail-oriented with a rigorous and analytical approach
• Fluency in English
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present reasoning in a clear, concise, and logical manner
