How will you contribute?
The Systems and Cloud Expert will be crucial in advancing the organization's cloud and on-premises infrastructure. By designing and implementing scalable Azure and AWS architectures, the role ensures optimal performance and robust security through automation and adherence to industry best practices. The expert will develop and execute comprehensive disaster recovery strategies, guaranteeing data integrity and availability. Acting as a key point of contact for advanced troubleshooting, the role collaborates with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure with organizational goals. Passionate about technological innovation and continuous learning, the ideal candidate will significantly impact the organization's hybrid cloud environments.
You will be mainly in charge of:
- Design and implement cloud architectures that ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery.
- Deploy, configure, and manage Azure and AWS cloud solutions alongside on-premises Microsoft configurations.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for peak performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and manage security tools and best practices in cloud and on-premises environments, focusing on IAM, network security, and data protection.
- Conduct regular security audits of cloud systems to ensure compliance with the latest standards.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or other relevant tools to streamline routine cloud operations.
- Plan and execute upgrades and migrations to enhance efficiency and security with minimal service disruption, implementing roll-back plans as necessary.
- Leverage identity and access management tools like Microsoft Entra ID for seamless integration between cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring secure user authentication and authorization.
- Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, or AWS CloudFormation for efficient management of cloud and on-premises resources.
- Set up and maintain cloud monitoring solutions, such as Azure Monitor and AWS CloudWatch, to track performance and alert for potential issues.
- Regularly review performance reports and engage in performance tuning to resolve bottlenecks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for cloud-related issues, providing advanced-level troubleshooting and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement infrastructure enhancements aligned with organizational goals.
- Design and execute robust data backup and disaster recovery strategies for hybrid cloud environments.
- Regularly test recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Engage in continuous learning and pursue relevant certifications to keep technologies and practices current.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field
Experience and skills
- 5-7 years of in-depth experience in systems and cloud engineering, with a focus on Azure and AWS environments, including architecture design, deployment, configuration, and management.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft server configurations and core Microsoft 365 services administration, encompassing SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
- Proficiency in identity and access management, particularly with Active Directory and Entra ID, including federation, authentication, and identity synchronization protocols such as SAML, OAuth2, OIDC, SCIM, Entra Cloud Sync, and Entra Connect Sync.
- Skilled in automation scripting using PowerShell, Python, or similar tools to streamline cloud operations.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTPS) and hybrid cloud configurations.
- Experience with cloud migration, database management (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS), and virtualization technologies such as VMware.
- Proficiency in cloud monitoring and performance optimization using tools like Azure Monitor and AWS CloudWatch.
- Strong grasp of network security, cloud intrusion detection, and data encryption techniques.
- Knowledge of auditing and compliance procedures applicable to cloud systems.
- Experience implementing robust backup and recovery processes in the cloud.
- Certifications in Azure, AWS, or related cloud technologies preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and effective communication skills
- Ability to document processes and procedures clearly and comprehensively.
- Project management experience.
Language skills
- Good level both written and spoken English and French
