SLG is undergoing a digital transformation, leveraging data and AI to optimize operations and decision-making. As a leader in mobility and transportation, we generate vast amounts of data from operational systems, IoT-enabled fleets, and business platforms. To harness this data effectively, we are building a scalable, AI-ready Data Fabric Architecture—a foundation for seamless integration, governance, and accessibility.

The Data Architect will design and implement this Data Fabric, ensuring it supports self-service analytics while enabling AI-driven automation and predictive insights. This role will lay the foundation for SLG’s future AI Center of Excellence, collaborating with IT teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure data is actionable and strategically valuable.

About your Role

This hands-on role blends technical leadership with execution. The Data Architect will define SLG’s data infrastructure strategy, incorporating Data Fabric principles while building automated pipelines, governance models, and AI-ready frameworks. A key challenge is integrating IoT data streams from fleet operations, ensuring real-time processing for predictive maintenance and operational intelligence. Exposure to AI technologies will be valuable, as this role will contribute to SLG’s expanding AI capabilities.

About your Responsibilities

The focus is on building an AI-ready Data Fabric that centralizes data assets, supports self-service analytics, and drives AI adoption. The architect will:

• Design scalable architectures for structured and IoT data.
• Develop automated data pipelines to enhance AI readiness.
• Define governance frameworks ensuring security and compliance.
• Enable AI-driven analytics and automation, supporting predictive insights across the business.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a technical and strategic thinker with experience in data engineering, cloud analytics, and governance. Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Dataverse is key. Exposure to IoT data processing and AI workflows is a plus, as this role will help shape AI-driven analytics.

Success in This Role

Within 6-12 months, the Data Architect will have:

• Built a functional Data Fabric and Lakehouse, enabling AI and analytics.
• Integrated IoT and operational data, making real-time insights accessible.
• Automated key data pipelines for scalability and efficiency.
• Established governance policies, balancing security and accessibility.
