Tomorrowland is expanding its activities to the Balearics and is therefore looking for an enthusiastic pre-opening manager with experience in lifestyle- and music-focused hospitality & leisure projects.

 

 

If you have already led or been part of a pre-opening project within a dynamic hospitality and entertainment context and have experience leading a team, keep reading.

 

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will report to the Head of Tomorrowland Leisure and Project Director. Together you conceive the opening of a beautiful new Tomorrowland inspired venue. A first of its kind. 

  • You are required to balance the interests of our future guests, the project, our investors and the global brand (guidelines) Tomorrowland – you see a complex stakeholder situation as a positive challenge.

  • You serve as the vital link between the local project team and the Tomorrowland HQ team in Antwerp. In close collaboration with HQ, you will take the lead in developing SOPs that uphold Tomorrowland standards while being tailored to local operational needs. 

  • You will provide input during the construction phase, leveraging your experience with parties such as architects, construction companies, interior designers, and event designers.

  • During the pre-opening phase, you will build a complete organizational structure, including the GM and all relevant Heads of Department. With your experience as a people manager, you bring a strong network of former colleagues who would be eager to work with you again. 

  • Your financial expertise ensures that P&L and CAPEX management are well within your capabilities, and you are comfortable being challenged by management, finance colleagues, and stakeholders. 

  • Leveraging your previous experience, you will be responsible for developing our future operational budgets. 

  • Each week, you are responsible for providing a comprehensive status update on the project, covering all aspects, including design needs, construction, marketing, sales, hiring, operations, F&B, etc.) 

  • Given your expertise, we also ask you to co-develop a roadbook for future openings within the leisure department. 
     
     


MUST-HAVES 

  • 10 years of experience in a lifestyle and entertainment-focused venue (hotel, restaurant, day club, night club, etc.), with exposure to multiple departments and the ability to engage across all functions. 

  • Proven experience in pre-openings, with a minimum of three phases led in a key leadership role (Pre-Opening Manager/Director or Head of Department in Operations, F&B, Events, etc.).

  • Strong business acumen, including P&L management, with the confidence to collaborate with management, finance teams, and stakeholders. 

  • You have a hands-on, problem-solving mindset. You always seek win-win opportunities while challenging the status quo. 

  • You are detail-oriented and quality-driven. You have a stress-resistant, no-nonsense attitude and a proactive approach.

  • You are fluent in English, Spanish is a plus.

  • Experience with music events is a plus but not a must.
