How will you contribute?
You will be involved in European projects teams as Research & Technology Engineer to support the development and implementation of technological prototypes in the fields of Education Technologies and Industry. Your primary responsibilities will include three main missions:
Developing AI-driven learning and career support services
Enhancing lifelong learning assistive technologies and services using the European data space for skills (https://ds4skills.eu), with a focus on the Luxembourg market.
Implementing annotation services utilising ESCO framework (European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations) to improve job offers, resumes, and trainings classification.
Designing and improving matchmaking and recommendation systems for upskilling and reskilling initiatives, including in the CCAM sector.
Advancing digital platforms for education and skills development
Maintaining and enhancing the Fairness in Teaching platform (https://www.fairnessinteaching-project.eu/) by refining skills assessment tools, managing teaching content, and extending the knowledge graph.
Developing and maintaining an online inventory of reskilling content, integrating recommender systems to improve accessibility and user experience.
Implementing elements and prototypes for a Digital Twin platform for human-robot collaboration
Contributing to the implementation of a digital twin platform for an industrial setting, involving contribution to the development of a multi-agent system connected to an IOT (Internet of Things) platform, a knowledge base integrating OWL ontologies and a dedicated inference engine
As part of the DT platform, implement (in Python) a flexible / parametric simulation environment for human-robot collaboration with the RoboDK environment,
Support a Doctoral student in the implementation prototypes for case studies involving the DT platform.

Education
Bac+5 or equivalent, such as Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronic with a major in Software engineering.
Experience
Have at least 3 years of experience in RDI or IT consultancy applied to education or manufacturing
Have successfully managed tasks in RDI projects of moderate size and scope
Technical experience and skills
Strong knowledge in matchmaking services and recommendation systems.
Mastering of the following technologies, programming languages, protocols or tools: MQTT, JSON-LD, REST, Python, JAVA (SPRING framework), JavaScript (TypeScript, Node.js), RoboDK, common Python AI libraries and tools, dependencies management (MAVEN or GRADLE for Java, or VENV, POETRY for Python, NPM for JavaScript...), microservices architecture based on DOCKER, deployment on KUBERNETES, notions of CI/CD, NODE-RED low-code programming.
Previous experience in robot programming with RoboDK or equivalent, as well as in developing and maintaining complex micro-services IT platforms.
Understanding of knowledge graphs, ontologies and inference engines, skills frameworks and digital twin principles. Agent-based programming understanding is a plus.
Good understanding and knowledge of the different areas of work. Expertise in related technologies is a plus: e.g. education technology and lifelong learning tools, IOT and Robotics in manufacturing, AI-driven solutions…
Soft and language skills
Proactive, problem-solving attitude with the ability to work in a dynamic project team.
Good communication and presentation skills
Good level both written and spoken English and French
