The agency’s European Funding team has achieved excellent results, having helped Luxembourg-based stakeholders secure over €200 million in Horizon Europe funding to date—consistently outperforming the EU average success rate.
To strengthen this dynamic team, we are recruiting a European Funding Advisor – Digital sector (m/f). Your main mission will be to promote European research, development and innovation (RDI) programmes, support applicants in preparing competitive proposals and ensure Luxembourg’s strategic positioning within European institutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a European Funding Advisor, you will serve as the National Contact Point (NCP) for digital and cybersecurity topics in programmes such as Horizon Europe and the Digital Europe Programme. Your responsibilities will include:
Advising and supporting Luxembourg companies and research centres in preparing high-quality applications for European collaborative RDI projects (e.g. Horizon Europe, Digital Europe).
Facilitating synergies between companies and public research actors to build impactful partnerships.
Monitoring developments in EU RDI policy, drafting recommendations aligned with national interests and helping position Luxembourg strategically at the European level.
Representing Luxembourg’s interests in relevant working groups, particularly for Horizon Europe Cluster 3 & 4 (with a focus on digital).
Building and maintaining strong relationships with European stakeholders and fellow NCPs, showcasing Luxembourg’s digital expertise.
Contributing to the writing and management of EU-funded projects where Luxinnovation is directly involved.
Promoting European RDI programmes and Luxinnovation’s services through events, campaigns, newsletters and targeted outreach.
This position is based in Belval, Luxembourg, with up to 30% business travel, primarily to Brussels.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s or PhD in computer science, engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in managing EU-funded research and innovation projects, ideally within a research organisation, consulting firm or EU institution.
Solid understanding of the digital and cybersecurity landscape. Familiarity with Luxembourg’s RDI ecosystem is a strong asset.
Fluency in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish is an advantage.
Organised, proactive and autonomous with a collaborative and service-oriented mindset.
