Internship contract – 6 months | Fulltime/40h | From 01.04.2026 on | Belval
Are you passionate about research? So are we! Come and join us
The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. By transforming scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data and tools, LIST empowers citizens in their choices, public authorities in their decisions and businesses in their strategies.
How will you contribute?
As part of an FNR-INTER-ANR project, we look for our next intern !
Conjugated polymers combine tunable optical and electronic properties with great potential for energy conversion and storage devices. However, their poor solubility limits integration into practical systems. LIST has developed a Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) method to synthesize these polymers directly on various substrates, overcoming solubility issues.
This internship focuses on the CVD synthesis of Poly(3,4-Ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) on powder materials using an adapted fluidized bed reactor. The student will:
Develop and optimize CVD parameters for polymer growth on powders.
Characterize the resulting materials using Raman, UV–Vis–NIR, MS, AFM, and SEM.
Evaluate their functional properties for energy applications in collaboration with partners.
This project will contribute to ongoing research on advanced conjugated polymer coatings for sustainable energy systems.
An internship report written in English will be required at the end of the training period.
