Located in Luxembourg, we are a service company that hosts Europe's single leading trading platform(e-CAT) for cross-border transmission capacity. On behalf of TSOs, we auction the available long and short-term transmission capacity rights on all internal EU borders.
On the 1st of October 2018, JAO became the Single Allocation Platform (SAP) for all European Transmission System Operators (TSOs) that operate in accordance with EU legislation, since it is able to implement and fulfill all regulatory obligations and requirements. We provide accounting (clearing and settlement), contracting, reporting and project support services.
About the job
As the Senior Lead DevSecOps Architect, reporting to the Chief Operations Officer and supervised by the Head of Service Support and IT, this role plays a crucial part in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and resilient software solutions. The position leads the integration of security best practices into every stage of the development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and data protection regulations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the architect drives automation, oversees infrastructure operations, and ensures alignment between software and infrastructure objectives.
Key activities in the position:
Work primarily within the scope of the team to deliver secure, resilient and sustainable software solutions from design to implementation and deployment.
Coordinate the implementation Automation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with the Infrastructure team.
Oversee the maintenance, and management of the on-premises infrastructure to meet business requirements.
Provide guidance to DevOps team members, introducing and maintaining best practices within the team and organization, while keeping in sight the team objectives.
Work with other teams to ensure smooth delivery processes and alignment between infrastructure and software needs.
Integrate security best practices into the development lifecycle and ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by researching and implement new technologies, tools, and best practices in the DevOps domain.
Provide strategic input on infrastructure, application design and overall application architecture, automation strategies, and the adoption of new technologies to support organizational goals.
Support existing solutions, responding with urgency to operational issues and serve as a second level support when needed.
Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions and maintain vigilant system oversight through automated alerting, metrics analysis, and predictive problem-solving to prevent service degradations.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards (ISO, NIST, SOC2, GDPR…).
Maintain detailed technical documentation for all implemented solutions, integrations, and security controls, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
Ensure responsible decision making by assessing the impact and risk of solutions and follow with the appropriate communication to the stakeholders.
Stay up to date with the latest security trends and DevSecOps best practices.
Demonstrate creativity by finding simple, generalizable solutions that improve processes, solve problems or open up new opportunities.
Coordinate M&S of business applications and ensure performance and stability improvements (db scripts, app optimization, etc..).
Ensure creation and maintenance of SOPs.
Participate in technical call and coordinate with external parties system dev. and implementations.
Provide backup support for team members, ensuring continuity of operations and seamless workflow during their absence.
We are looking for someone with the following skills set:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar experience
Fluent in English with excellent written and spoken skills
10 years of experience as an engineer/software architect or in a similar position
Experience with version control systems (Git, Github, Bitbucket…)
Experience with Databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL…) and SQL
Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (Bash, Ansible, Terraform…)
Experience with observability platforms (Elastic, DataDog, NewRelic…)
Familiarity with observability concepts
Experience in configuration management (Infrastructure as code…)
Experience in log management
Experience in infrastructure management
Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (OWASP, CIS…)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Github actions, Bitbucket pipelines, TeamCity…)
Experience with networking and protocols (SSH, SSL/TLS, HTTPS, DNS, SFTP, Firewalls…)
Experience with Windows and terminal or command line interface based systems (Linux RHEL)
Experience with supporting and troubleshooting IT-Systems
Familiarity with ITIL and DevSecOps principles and practices
Experience with microservices architecture and container security
Experience in application, software or enterprise architecture designs
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS…)
Able to execute tasks under strict deadlines

We offer
Salary paid on 13 months basis.
31 days holidays per year.
