How will you contribute?
You will be part of the Environmental and Industrial Biotechnology Unit (BIOTECH), which conducts cross-disciplinary research to support the transition toward a more sustainable and resilient industrial future. BIOTECH combines expertise in bioprocessing and biorefining, environmental and industrial microbiology, circular economy, and “one health”.
We are looking for a specialist in fungal genetics and fungal physiology, with solid track record in both academic and applied research. The ideal candidate has proven knowledge in the use of such microorganisms in the context of modern biomass processing and biorefining.

Education
• PhD in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Chemistry or Engineering
Experience and skills
• Minimum 4 years of research experience
• Team spirit is a must
• Proven experience in transferring academic results to society
• Proven experience in acquisition of competitive research funding
• Experience in the experimental life sciences, with emphasis on microbiology
• Entrepreneurial mindset
• Scientific writing skills
Language skills
• Fluency in English , both oral and written. Other relevant languages are an asset.
