Tomorrowland Music is the dedicated label and publishing department of Tomorrowland, consisting of the label imprints Tomorrowland Music and Core Records and the publishing division Tomorrowland Music Publishing.
Tomorrowland Music collaborates closely with artists, writers, composers and producers, supporting them in all their writing, recording and release activities. We want to expand our team with an experienced A&R Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will help to define and implement the overall music and creative A&R strategy of Tomorrowland Music, Core Records and Tomorrowland Music Publishing.
You will bring together a diverse roster of artists, songwriters and producers, and work actively with this roster to shape the sound of electronic dance music globally.
You will work closely together with the existing label and publishing A&R managers in your and their activities of signing and developing both new and established talent.
You will build and maintain strong relationships with artists, managements and other music industry players around the world.
You will work closely with the head of Tomorrowland Music and the legal and finance department to determine department and individual deal budgets, and close deals with new talent.
You will assist the artist teams and Tomorrowland Music’s creative and marketing teams in determining the creative direction for release plans and marketing assets.
You will conduct business practices that are innovative, with a keen awareness of new trends, cultures and technology arising in the youthful sectors of the music industry.
MUST-HAVES
At least 3 years of relevant experience in the music/entertainment industry, with proven history of working with songwriters/producers/artists in the international (dance) music scene.
Strong existing network in the international (dance) music industry and artist/songwriter/producer community.
Perfect understanding of the current trends in the music industry, the music media and broader digital and social media landscape.
Good analytical skills and familiarity with release data tools.
Strong negotiation skills and good understanding of recording and music publishing contracts and the economics of the recorded music and the music publishing business.
Creative mind that thinks out of the box and sees opportunities rather than problems in every situation.
Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Stress resistant.
