In this context, we are recruiting a Corporate Ignition SCADA & MES Engineer, M/F/X.
Mission :
The Corporate Ignition SCADA & MES Engineer is responsible for the design, governance, and oversight of SCADA and MES solutions built on Inductive Automation’s Ignition platform.
The role plays a central part in the group’s global Industry 4.0 strategy, ensuring consistency, performance, and scalability of MES deployments across all sites.
Acting as a corporate reference, the engineer defines standards, validates architectures, and ensures best practices in close collaboration with IT, OT, regional engineering teams, and external partners.
The position also contributes to the progressive internalization of SCADA/MES capabilities within the organization.
Key Responsibilities :
Collect operational requirements from industrial sites and define MES objectives aligned with manufacturing processes.
Define, validate, and maintain the global SCADA/MES architecture based on Ignition and advanced MES functionalities (OEE, Recipe Management, Track & Trace).
Oversee end-to-end MES projects delivered by external integrators, including functional and technical specifications, FAT/SAT, training, go-live, and post-deployment support.
Ensure scalability, maintainability, cybersecurity, and compliance of deployed solutions.
Guarantee seamless integration between MES, SCADA, PLCs, ERP systems (SAP), and data platforms (Azure).
Define and enforce group-wide standards, templates, governance rules, documentation, and backup practices.
Implement DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and Git version control, across the full software lifecycle.
Design global dashboards and industrial KPIs to support performance monitoring and decision-making.
Support local teams (production, quality, lean, performance management) in the adoption and effective use of MES tools.
Contribute to the strategic roadmap for building and structuring an internal SCADA/MES engineering capability.
Profile and Required Skills :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in MES design or project leadership within industrial manufacturing environments.
Strong expertise in the Ignition platform (certification preferred) and ideally Sepasoft solutions.
Solid knowledge of PLC/SCADA systems, OPC UA, SQL, and industrial communication protocols.
Proven experience integrating MES with ERP systems and process historians.
Sound understanding of ISA-95 standards and digital manufacturing models.
Ability to operate effectively in international, matrix-based organizations.
Structured, quality-driven mindset with a strong governance and long-term vision.
Fluent English required; additional languages are considered an asset.
Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis (approximately 5 days per month).
