Role overview

We are looking for a hands-on Mobile Engineering Manager (React Native) to lead and scale our mobile development capability during a key acceleration phase of our innovation roadmap.

You will manage a small but growing mobile team and play a central role in shaping the mobile architecture, delivery standards and technical vision. This is a player-coach position: you will actively contribute to development while leading the team.

This role reports directly to the Chief Product & Technology Officer and works closely with Product, Design and other Engineering Managers.

What you’ll be driving

·       Own the mobile technical strategy: Define and evolve the mobile architecture (React Native), ensuring scalability, performance, maintainability and alignment with the broader technical ecosystem.

·       Deliver high-quality mobile products: Actively contribute to development while ensuring engineering best practices, code quality standards, testing strategies and CI/CD processes are properly implemented.

·       Lead and structure the mobile team: Manage contractors and lead the hiring and onboarding of internal mobile engineers. Build a strong team culture focused on accountability, quality and continuous improvement.

·       Drive cross-functional execution: Collaborate closely with Product and Design to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. Align with backend and other engineering teams to ensure architectural consistency.

·       Improve performance & reliability: Continuously monitor app performance, stability and user experience. Identify technical debt and proactively define improvement roadmaps.

·       Establish engineering standards: Implement clear development processes, documentation standards, release governance and technical decision frameworks.

·       Contribute to innovation: Stay ahead of mobile trends, React Native ecosystem evolutions and platform changes (iOS / Android) to continuously enhance our mobile capability.

What you bring

·       Proven experience building and scaling high-traffic mobile applications with strong reliability and performance standards

·       Deep expertise in React Native and TypeScript, with multiple production-level deployments

·       Solid understanding of native mobile ecosystems (iOS & Android), their constraints and platform guidelines

·       Prior experience as a Lead Developer, Tech Lead or Engineering Manager in a mobile context

·       Demonstrated ability to combine hands-on development with team leadership and delivery accountability

·       Strong architectural and system design capabilities, with a long-term scalability mindset

·       Experience working in cross-functional product environments, closely collaborating with Product, Design and Backend teams

·       Strong awareness of security, performance and monitoring best practices, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation

·       Fluent in English
