Are you passionate about research? So are we! Come and join us
The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. By transforming scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data and tools, LIST empowers citizens in their choices, public authorities in their decisions and businesses in their strategies.
Do you want to know more about LIST? Check our website: https://www.list.lu/
How will you contribute?
In the framework of a bilateral project between Luxembourg and France, the FNR-funded postdoctoral researcher will conduct research in the development of advanced plasma-assisted thin film deposition processes for catalytic and photoelectrochemical applications. The project targets the synthesis of metal oxide-based thin film materials, with a strong emphasis on process design, optimization, and integration through the coupling of complementary plasma techniques. The work also involves characterization of film composition, structure, and functional properties to support process improvement and a better understanding of material behavior.
Your mission and contribution are to:
Design, implement, and optimize plasma-based thin film deposition processes
Develop and operate a dual PECVD–reactive magnetron sputtering deposition strategy within a single process environment
Enable tunable and graded film compositions through innovative spatial integration of plasma techniques
Establish high-throughput deposition and screening workflows for multi-component thin films
Investigate plasma–surface interactions relevant to composition and structural control
Characterize functional and (photo) electrochemical properties of selected thin films, including catalytic activity.
Correlate process conditions, material properties, and catalytic performance
Contribute to the analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of results through scientific publications and consortium meetings
Collaborate with consortium partners.
