We are expanding our Tomorrowland Thailand Finance team with a Business Controller.
In this role, you will gain insight into and control over the financials of the various operational and production departments of our festival. You will use this knowledge to support the business through financial analyses. As a business partner, you are a strong communicator, assertive yet approachable, and have a good understanding of people. You will report to the Controlling Lead, under the Head of Finance.
Within our team, you can rely on colleagues across the different pillars around which the local Finance department is structured: accounting, controlling, and business analytics/processes, as well as our Headquarters in Belgium
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Guide, prepare, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Create insightful analyses of cost budgets for the departments assigned to you, spanning the company’s various projects and business units.
Act as a sparring partner for departments in terms of analysis, financial knowledge, and monitoring figures, supporting them in making financial decisions.
Provide structured periodic reporting on the status of budgets and actuals.
Follow up on offers (financial analyses) from your departments from a controlling perspective and serve as the first point of contact. Ensure smooth administrative handling of incoming invoices.
Guarantee and support accurate financial execution in various business-related projects (ad hoc).
Play a key role in optimizing (financial) processes for the departments you are responsible for.
MUST-HAVES:
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics (e.g. from a Thai university or equivalent international institution).
You have minimum 3 years relevant experience.
You are a problem solver.
You are an open person and naturally build trust-based relationships.
You enjoy variety and adapt flexibly to changes.
You are highly analytical and maintain a helicopter view.
You have excellent Excel skills.
You have experience with ERP systems and can quickly master new tools.
You communicate clearly and present your ideas in a very understandable way.
You are fluent in English (required). Thai language proficiency is a strong plus.
You work closely with your team, the accounting colleagues, and the various stakeholders within the departments.
