Stockton Truss, a portfolio company of NCA, is seeking a hands-on, operationally focused CEO in Stockton, California to lead the company through its next phase of growth and operational excellence. The company has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineered roof and floor trusses for residential, multifamily, and commercial construction projects across the Western United States. Stockton Truss is positioned to expand with regional builders and scale production capacity across Northern California, Nevada, and Arizona’s housing market.
The CEO will assume full P&L responsibility and oversee all aspects of the business including manufacturing operations, sales, engineering coordination, and customer relationships with builders and developers. This leader will be highly present in the operation, working directly with plant leadership, design teams, and customers to ensure operational performance and reliable project delivery.
This role requires an operator-first executive who is comfortable in a manufacturing and construction supply environment. The right candidate will combine strategic leadership with practical execution, helping professionalize systems, strengthen operational discipline, and scale the company while maintaining its reputation for reliability, service, and craftsmanship.
This is a highly operational role requiring daily presence in the manufacturing facilities and close engagement with production, engineering, and customers.
Key Priorities
The incoming CEO will focus on:
Strengthening operational discipline and execution across both manufacturing sites
Implementing a data-driven operating cadence with clear KPIs and performance accountability
Improving coordination between sales, design, and production to enhance delivery reliability
Reinforcing a strong performance culture and leadership accountability
Expanding customer relationships with regional builders and developers
Working closely with ownership to support sustainable and profitable growth
Requirements
10 to 15 years of leadership experience in building materials, construction supply, truss manufacturing, structural components, or related industrial sectors
Demonstrated full P&L ownership with a proven track record of revenue growth, margin expansion, and operational improvement
Strong operational leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally including plant operations with a track record of implementing systems/KPIs
Experience leading cross-functional teams including sales, engineering/design, production, logistics, and customer service
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to be physically present in the operation and actively engaged with plant teams and frontline employees
Proven ability to build strong relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and construction partners
Experience improving operational processes including production scheduling, quality control, delivery performance, and plant efficiency
Financial fluency including budgeting, forecasting, pricing strategy, and capital investment decisions
High integrity leadership style with a strong focus on accountability, safety, and team culture
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, operations, business, or a related field preferred
Nice to Have
Direct experience in truss manufacturing, engineered wood products, structural components, or related building materials manufacturing
Background working closely with construction customers such as homebuilders, multifamily developers, or commercial contractors
Experience leading organizations that combine engineering/design functions with manufacturing operations
Experience scaling regional building materials businesses or expanding into new geographic markets
Exposure to ERP systems, manufacturing technology, and operational data analytics
Experience integrating acquisitions or expanding production capacity
