Overview
We are seeking a Data Project Manager to lead and deliver data-driven initiatives across the organization. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end data projects, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical execution, and driving value from data assets.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data projects (data platforms, BI, analytics, data migration)
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
Coordinate cross-functional teams including data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders
Manage project risks, dependencies, and issues, ensuring timely resolution
Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance standards are respected throughout the project lifecycle
Translate business requirements into data and technical specifications
Monitor project progress, KPIs, and budget, and provide regular reporting to senior management
Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) where relevant
Drive adoption of delivered solutions and ensure business value realization
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in project management, including data or IT projects
Strong understanding of data ecosystems (data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT processes, BI tools)
Experience working with data teams (Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists)
Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
Nice to Have
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
Knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Familiarity with data governance frameworks and regulations (e.g., GDPR)
Certification in project management (PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master)
