We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Post-Doc Researcher (PDR) interested in developing innovative molecular analyses and imaging strategies for rubber composites.
The PDR project will be carried out within the framework of a large public-private partnership (PPP) devoted to the development of new rubber technologies.
The project is tailored around the development and interpretation of spatially resolved measurements of ingredients of interest such as additives in a highly complex polymer matrix. They are considered crucial in the rubber industry under specific mixing/curing conditions and can react with the polymer matrix and/or the filler surface.
Mass Spectrometry (MS) coupled with chromatographic techniques (LC, GC, GPC), combined with advanced technologies such as MS imaging, will represent key aspects for achieving the project’s objectives.
The development of analytical strategies will be based in particular on existing (ESI, APCI) and emerging (plasma- or laser-assisted) ionization techniques.
How will you contribute?
In this role, you will be part of a multicultural and multidisciplinary team of highly skilled scientists and engineers. This is a great opportunity to acquire highly valuable skills in the application of multiple characterization techniques, including MS imaging, NMR spectroscopy, and chromatography. Through the project consortium, you will also benefit from regular interactions with industrial partners.
You will be in charge of designing your experimental plans, performing relevant experiments and interpreting the results to meet defined objectives.
You are expected to report and present your results to the management and project team on a regular basis, to publish first-author papers in Q1 journals and give oral presentations at international conferences.
If you are ready to embrace the challenge of this innovative, multidisciplinary project and thrive in a collaborative research environment, then we want to hear from you!
Is your profile described below? Are you our future colleague? Apply now!
