YOUR ACTIVITIES


Your mission consists in designing, commissioning and maintaining RF sub-systems for the company’s satellite ground segment activities:

  • Perform RF system specification, design, and in-factory and on-site acceptance testing activities related to large satellite communication antennas (including reflector and feed subsystems, LNAs, HPAs, up-and down-converters and baseband equipment)

  • Participate in the specification, selection, and testing of sub-contractor deliveries and COTS equipment related to ground station antennas and active/passive RF components

  • Start up and commission RF and baseband commercial and internal equipment

  • Design, develop, and maintain scripting software and related interfaces for test automation and monitoring and control

  • Perform RF/physical optics simulations of antenna systems


This role requires occasional international travel depending on project needs.


YOUR PROFILE & KNOWLEDGE


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, telecommunications or RF engineering or equivalent

  • Good general knowledge of the following:

    • Passive RF systems, such as feeds, waveguides, diplexers, and filters, and of active RF components, such as LNAs, HPAs, up-and down-converters, baseband equipment,

    • RF-related testing concepts and equipment, such as spectrum and vector network analysers.

  • Basic skills in the following fields:

    • Classical and scientific programming and scripting languages (Java, C++, Matlab or Python),

    • Communication networks and protocols (TCP/IP, field buses).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good team spirit

  • Ability to work in an English-speaking environment including technical discussions and documentation activities, German, French and Luxembourgish being considered a plus

  • Ability to adapt to new situations and work with various type of stakeholders and partners to achieve the desired results

  • Experience with the software package GRASP (or equivalent) is considered a plus

  • Know-how in software-defined radio and digital signal-processing is considered a plus
