One of Luxinnovation’s activities is to support companies looking for national funding for their research, development and innovation activities, as well as for their sustainability investments.
The mission of our National Funding team is to guide and support companies through-out the process of applying for Stade aids for R&D, innovation and environmental protection. To strengthen the team, we are looking for an Advisor (m/f).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Meet with companies seeking financial support for their R&D and innovation activities, or environmental investments: carry out structured interview to help companies formulate their needs and share relevant feedback regarding available State aids with the support of Luxinnovation.
Help companies assess their generic eligibility for State aids : technical and financial due diligence of the applicant company, in relation with the considered R&D activities or environmental project.
Support companies all the way to their application to the granting authority: review draft applications (technical project description, project budget, business plan, financial statements, financial forecast) and share advice in relation to State aid eligibility criteria, research partnership, other institutional support.
Remain available to provide timely and relevant follow-up support to both the granting authority and the companies, after the application has been submitted and until completion of the underlying project.
Coordinate calls for projects together with granting authorities: co-design the call steps and timeline and ensure timely communication to companies and research organisations, as well as structured coordination of all institutional stakeholders.
Promote national funding programmes for R&D and innovation activities as well as for environmental investments: elaborate communication material, organise webinars or promotion campaigns, act as speaker or moderator during State aid related events.
Permanently stay aware of new EU and national regulations regarding State aids, national strategies related to R&D and sustainability, key national players (companies, public research organisations, other institutions).
Be a source of proposals to develop new projects, tools, and services.
Actively contribute to coaching new recruits and interns.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Holder of a master's degree (“bac+5” in the French university system) in economics, finance, business management, engineering or a dual scientific/business profile.
Professional experience of at least 5 years in corporate finance or engineering project management: including ideally in State aids for enterprise, or innovation project management as an engineer, including budget monitoring, or any corporate finance activities gained in banking, audit, consulting, or within a company’s financial or engineering department.
Be able to manage several complex files efficiently and independently.
Strong skills in financial analysis and/or project management.
Perfect command of at least 2 of the following languages: English, French, German (oral and written). Luxembourgish is considered a strong asset.
Strong writing skills and the ability to produce summary notes.
Relational ease allowing you to interact with partners at relevant ministries, financial partners, and business managers.
Be organised, flexible and autonomous and have excellent listening and analytical skills.
