BDO in Luxembourg is seeking a strategic and business-oriented Chief Financial Officer to support the firm’s next phase of growth and transformation.

As part of its continued development, BDO Luxembourg is looking for a Chief Financial Officer who will play a key role in shaping the firm’s strategic roadmap, driving financial performance, enhancing operational scalability and leading finance transformation initiatives across the organization.
What will you do?
As Chief Financial Officer, you will act as a strategic advisor to the Managing Partner and Executive Committee while leading the overall financial strategy and performance of the firm.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Partnering with the Managing Partner and Executive Committee to support strategic decision-making, sustainable growth and long-term value creation
Defining and executing the firm’s financial strategy in alignment with business objectives and profitability targets
Leading and modernizing the finance function to deliver robust governance, scalable processes and high-value decision-support capabilities
Driving business performance through profitability analysis, financial planning, forecasting and data-driven performance management
Enhancing operational efficiency and supporting investment decisions through financial insights and analytics
Overseeing cash flow, liquidity management, financial risk and capital allocation
Ensuring best-in-class financial governance, regulatory compliance and internal control frameworks
Leading finance transformation initiatives through automation, process optimization and advanced analytics capabilities
Supporting the continued evolution of financial systems, reporting tools and management dashboards
Building, mentoring and developing a high-performing finance team while fostering collaboration across the organization
Acting as a trusted business partner to leadership teams across the firm
This opportunity is for you if
You hold a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field; an ACCA, CPA, CFA or equivalent qualification would be considered a strong asset
You bring significant experience (typically 15+ years) in finance and at least 10 years in leadership roles, ideally within a professional services, consulting or partnership-based environment
You have a proven track record in financial strategy, business partnering and organizational performance management
You combine strong financial expertise with excellent business acumen and the ability to translate financial insights into strategic actions
You possess excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at Executive Committee level
You are comfortable leading transformation initiatives, including finance modernization, process optimization and data-driven decision-making
You demonstrate a strong sense of ownership, accountability and execution
You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and can interact effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
You are comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment and supporting business growth through sound financial management
You are fluent in English and French; German and/or Luxembourgish would be considered an asset
