How will you contribute?
You will be mainly in charge of:
Supporting research activities on novel hybrid and high-performance fibre‑reinforced polymer composites
Fabricate fibre‑reinforced composites using recycled and/or reclaimed fibres/materials.
Investigate and report process–structure–property relationships of fabricated composite materials.
Perform mechanical and thermal characterization of composites (tensile, flexural, TGA, DSC, DMA and related tests).
Analyse test data and prepare, e.g., statistical and graphical analysis

Education
Hold/study towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, material science, but with a focus on polymer engineering and science, or related discipline focused on fibres, technical textiles and polymeric composites
Experience and skills
Curiosity and enthusiasm for materials science and experimental research
Basic skills/knowledge on the mechanics of materials, polymeric materials, chemistry (coursework) is an advantage
Basic knowledge in thermal and mechanical testing of fibres and composites is an advantage
Ability to analyse experimental data, conduct research, and communicate scientific results
Self-motivation and eagerness to learn in a hands-on research environment
Proactive attitude toward problem-solving
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Language skills
Fluency in English, both oral and written. French and/or German are an asset.
