We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong, hands-on expertise in business process analysis, BPMN, process design and UML.
This is not a junior or purely coordination-oriented Business Analyst position. The successful candidate must demonstrate real-world experience analysing complex business processes, challenging requirements, designing target processes, and translating business needs into clear and actionable functional specifications.
The role requires someone who can work autonomously with business stakeholders, subject-matter experts and technical teams, and who is comfortable operating in complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
Analyse, understand and document existing business processes and workflows (AS-IS).
Identify inefficiencies, gaps, risks and opportunities for process improvement.
Design and document TO-BE processes aligned with business and operational objectives.
Facilitate workshops and interviews with business stakeholders and subject-matter experts.
Gather, challenge, structure and prioritise business and functional requirements.
Produce high-quality BPMN process models based on actual operational scenarios.
Create and maintain UML diagrams, including use cases, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and other relevant modelling artefacts.
Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria and process documentation.
Act as the interface between business stakeholders and technical/delivery teams.
Analyse dependencies, business rules, exceptions and integration requirements.
Support solution design and ensure that proposed solutions remain aligned with business requirements.
Contribute to testing, UAT preparation and validation when required.
Ensure requirements and process documentation remain accurate and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience & Skills
We are specifically looking for a candidate with proven hands-on Business Analysis experience.
The candidate must have:
Several years of professional experience as a Business Analyst / Senior Business Analyst.
Strong practical experience with BPMN.
Proven experience in business process modelling, process mapping and process redesign.
Strong practical knowledge of UML and the ability to select and produce the appropriate diagrams depending on the business or functional need.
Demonstrated experience conducting requirements elicitation and stakeholder workshops.
Ability to distinguish and document business, functional and non-functional requirements.
Experience working directly with both business and technical stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to challenge existing processes and requirements constructively rather than simply documenting them.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of Business Analysis activities.
Important: The position requires genuine hands-on experience with BPMN and process design. Theoretical knowledge or limited exposure to these methodologies will not be sufficient.
