Grant Thornton Luxembourg is currently seeking an Experienced Consultant – EU & Public Institutions Advisory to start ASAP.

Main responsibilities

  • Support your Line Manager in developing our EU Advisory department and maintaining strong client relationships.

  • Perform fund monitoring and performance analysis, including the review of fund performance indicators, portfolio developments and key risk metrics.

  • Review and challenge fund valuations, quarterly reports and financial information received from Fund Managers.

  • Monitor and follow up on governance and fund lifecycle events, including LPAC matters, fund extensions, amendments, key person events, breaches and other investor-related approvals.

  • Review and reconcile management fees, commitments, drawdowns, distributions, cash flows and other fund accounting information.

  • Perform data input, validation and data quality controls, including the timely review and validation of fund data processed by other consultants and the resolution of fund data-related queries.

  • Interface with Fund Managers and other client services to ensure the timely receipt, validation and processing of information required for monitoring and reporting activities.

  • Design, develop and work with financial models, financial reports and portfolio monitoring tools.

  • Develop, enhance and maintain Power BI dashboards, including data quality controls, reporting automation and portfolio monitoring functionalities.

  • Prepare and present monitoring reports, management presentations, analyses and conclusions for internal and client stakeholders.

 


Main requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management or a related field; CFA, CAIA or equivalent professional qualification is considered an asset.

  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience within the fund industry.

  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; French and/or German is considered a strong asset.

  • Understanding of the Luxembourg fund industry, including investment vehicles, fund structures and the broader alternative investment funds environment.

  • Experience in monitoring fund performance, valuation methodologies and key financial and risk metrics.

  • Experience reviewing fund documentation, including LPAs, quarterly reports, audited financial statements, valuation materials and governance-related documentation.

  • Experience interacting directly with Fund Managers and other stakeholders, including reviewing and challenging information provided as part of monitoring and reporting activities.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets, identify inconsistencies and perform robust data quality controls.

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with practical experience in Power BI, dashboards, KPIs and data analytics considered a strong asset.

  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Proactive, adaptable and solution-oriented mindset, with a positive and collaborative approach.

  • Ability to interact confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders.
