As well as being the go-to source for business, financial and political journalism, Paperjam acts as a catalyst for innovation, community and the country's development.
Our main activities:
Paperjam News: reliable, relevant business, financial and political news.
Paperjam Club: Luxembourg's leading private business club, offering conferences, workshops, networking and an academy.
Paperjam Advertising: an advertising sales house specialised in targeted, high-impact campaigns.
Paperjam Studio: a creative agency helping brands with their storytelling and visual communication.
In short: Paperjam is an independent, influential and forward-looking player, helping shape a progressive Luxembourg.
We are looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer (m/f/x).
Your role
You join the team as a developer, not an intern. You pick up tickets, write the code, test it and ship it to production with the rest of the team. Senior developers review your code and pair with you when you're stuck. Your scope grows as you do.
In practice, you will:
Build features on our websites and apps, from ticket to production. Our stack: Go and Next.js microservices, AWS, MongoDB.
Fix bugs in what you've shipped, and learn our platforms by investigating the ones you didn't write.
Write tests and documentation for your own work.
Take part in our releases every two weeks: prepare your changes, ship them, and check they behave as expected in production.
Tell us what slows you down. Fresh eyes catch what the team has stopped noticing.
Your first six months
Month 1: get set up, read the code, ship your first fixes to production.
Month 3: you ship small features on your own, with code review.
Month 6: you own a feature end to end.
About you
You recently graduated or completed an intensive bootcamp, and you have some first professional experience: an internship, a work-study programme or a previous career.
You've built things: school projects, side projects, open-source contributions. Send us the link — we'll read the code.
You're comfortable with JavaScript/TypeScript. React, Next.js or Go is a plus.
You know Git and the basics of the web: HTTP, APIs, databases.
You ask when you don't understand, and you flag early when you're blocked.
Fluent English. French is a plus.
Changing careers? Your background counts. If you've worked with clients, deadlines or a team, you already have half of what we're looking for.
What we offer
A permanent full-time contract, meal vouchers and employee benefits.
Code reviews, pair programming with senior developers and a clear growth path.
Training and certifications based on your needs, plus free access to Paperjam Academy courses and Club events (10×6, Nexus, webinars).
Spacious, modern offices near Luxembourg central station, where dogs are welcome.
Free access to the swimming pool and gym in Bonnevoie.
Latest-generation MacBook Air, iPhone and a dedicated phone line.
A roadmap that includes a membership platform, AI tools and mobile apps.
Send your CV, a short cover letter and a link to something you've built. All applications are handled in strict confidence.
