How will you contribute?

Among other responsibilities, you will:

·          In coordination with the group leader, develop and maintain a state-of-the-art bioinformatics data and analysis infrastructure. You will regularly develop and integrate novel pipelines based on latest developments, including AI-based approaches.

·          Perform innovative fundamental and applied research that to push the boundaries of our understanding of fungal biology and biotechnology

·          Develop innovative new research lines and projects, making full use of omics and other data and the latest developments in AI and bioinformatics.

·          Supervise and train PhD students, postdocs and undergraduate students of the group in bioinformatic tasks.

·          Promote and represent the group to both academic and industrial stake-holders

Education

•               PhD in bioinformatics

Experience and skills

•               At least 6 years of post-doctoral experience in bioinformatic research

•               Strong expertise in omics analysis and machine learning

•               Strong publication track-record in fungal biology, preferably with an emphasis on biomass utilization

•               Funding track record

•               Experience in supervising PhD and undergraduate students

•               Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Language skills

 •               Strong knowledge of English (both spoken and written) is required.

This position offers a gross monthly salary between €6724 and €8176, paid over 13 months (€87.412–€106.292 annually) based on full‑time employment. The final salary offer within this range will be determined based on the candidate’s overall profile, qualifications and professional experience.

For part‑time employment, the salary is adjusted pro rata.
